The NHIM Team of the Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria attended the Impact Evaluation (IE) workshop organized by the World Bank’s Development Impact Evaluation (DIME) team in Lagos in May 2017. The 4-day workshop themed, “Beyond the Status Quo: Using Impact Evaluation Research to Drive Innovation and Improve Outcomes in Health” leveraged on the existing strong partnership between the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH), World Bank, and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for the strategic use of impact evaluation in priority programs to guide in decision-making and achieve better outcomes.

The team represented the Alliance, who is the Innovation Fund Manager of the Saving One Million Lives Innovation Fund Project which seeks to identify and use health innovations within Nigeria to contribute to improving health outcomes. The workshop included a combination of lectures and highly interactive, team-focused sessions with a certificate of participation awarded at the end.
